This is my setting of the epic text proclaimed only on Easter Sunday before the Gospel. It traces the moments leading up to Mary Magdalene’s discovery that Jesus was no longer in the tomb.

The music is written in a victorious and dramatic style, helping to illuminate the story as it unfolds and building toward the triumphant “Alleluia, Amen” that leads directly into the Gospel Acclamation.
